  • A Clio Award winning narrative that weaves together four personal vignettes into a premium short film that reimagines core memories and connects them to their heritage.

    In celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, Disney Entertainment Television (DET) commissioned four alumni from the award-winning nonprofit Ghetto Film School to create a short film in honor of their Hispanic and Latin American culture.

  • A collaboration between Ghetto Film School and Vans, “DIY,” is a short film about a musician and artist who quit their jobs at a diner to pursue their creativity in Los Angeles.

  • An experimental homage to a familiar path, HartToHeart (2023) documents filmmaker Kian Cloma’s childhood route down Lankershim Blvd to North Weddington park in Los Angeles. Along the way, Cloma highlights North Hollywood cultural landmarks to showcase sites that have shaped a generation of this community.

    As part of the Academy Museum’s Shifting Perspectives: Vertical Cinema exhibition, Kian Cloma was chosen as one of 15 fellows to produce a one-minute film, shot on iPhone, that captures the cultural vibrancy of Los Angeles.


  • A recap following the coaches, staff, and players of two HBCU rivals as they set to face off at the NBA’s HBCU classic.

Kian Cloma is a filmmaker from North Hollywood, CA, who has directed and produced projects for the Academy of Motion Picture and Arts Museum, The NBA, and Vans. With every project comes a new lesson to be learned and Kian is excited to learn from them all to tell stories that bring together family and community.
